GAUSS 15 and GAUSS Light 15
GAUSS
Mathematical and Statistical System is a fast matrix programming
language widely used by scientists, engineers, statisticians,
biometricians, econometricians, and financial analysts. Designed for
computationally intensive tasks, the GAUSS system is ideally suited for
the researcher who does not have the time required to develop programs
in C or FORTRAN but finds that most statistical or mathematical
"packages" are not flexible or powerful enough to perform complicated
analysis or to work on large problems.
Annual
and perpetual Student licences of GAUSS SYSTEMS are available to all
students regularly enrolled in a higher education institution. These
so-called "students licences" offer students a unique opportunity to
purchase an unrestricted version of the software at an optimal price.
GAUSS
Light provides an economical way for students who don't work with
extremely large matrices and who do not need to produce stand-alone
applications to access the power of GAUSS. Embodying the same
programming language and functions as its full blown counterpart, GAUSS
Light is compatible with all current GAUSS applications. Programs
written in GAUSS Light are interchangeable with the comparable version
of GAUSS within the matrix and workplace limitations of GAUSS Light
(See section on systems technical requirements ). The latest version of
Gauss Light is 15.
GAUSS Light limitations:
Maximum matrix size of 100 x 100.
Maximum number of variables 8190.
No debugger.
Available for Windows 32-bit, Linux 32-bit and Mac 32-bit.
Note that Gauss Light is not for use on university computers.
